
Whilst working for Miurashin Architects in Tokyo, we were asked to make a proposal for a warehouse facade. The facade runs parallel from the main road but set back approx 20m.
We had choosen a vertically corrugated plastic to clad the warehouse. The design was to print two seperate images onto the opposing sides of the corrugation. The effect would be that from the perspective of a car the facade seems to morph.
Through choosing the images correctly, our design created the illusion of the facade being transparent and that from the perspective of the car you would be able to see the interior of the building
