The Royal College of Art employed O>N>E to design the entrance for the 2008 Summer Show. We decided on a few 5 meter letters that spelt "SHOW" (you enter the exhibition through the "H") as well as a 5m high mirrored pavilion to be used as a education space.
The two way mirrored structure allowed for light to penetrate into the pavilion for it be used as art classrooms during the day, whilst still looking like a completely mirrored box from the outside. At night the character of the box changes as it becomes lighter inside than out, and the two way mirrored windows reveal themselves. We also experimented with new projection materials, which made the projected images appear to float within the two way mirror.
