House Extension
This private project was to turn an existing series of small rooms at the back of a 30's semi detached property into a large social open plan space.
One of the key design aspects was to allow for a view of the garden as you entered the property through the front door. Another important aspect was to drop the floor level of the extension, allowing the rear extension to open out on the level of the garden. By dropping the ceiling as well meant that more light could be allowed to the back of the plan through the line of skylights, preventing the original parts of the house becoming dark.
I project managed the scheme from initial design through to completion.
